ASCII One is a free WordPress theme inspired by typography.
The theme:
- is widgetized,
- has 3 columns + 1 for the metadata,
- has 2 sidebars for widgets.
This theme will be supported and upgraded. New versions will be available here. If you have problems with the theme, leave a comment.
Warning! I will only try to solve problems with the theme. I will not help you with WordPress or any other issues :>
IE6 is NOT supported as there is less and less users of this… strange phenomenon.
Theme works with WordPress 2.6+
At first I wanted to use a typeface with one of the text replacement libraries, but finally I’ve chosen Helvetica because of its beauty and popularity (and its clones).
The font used for graphical elements is Museo by Jos Buivenga.

Great theme. Like it a lot. One affair though…comments don’t assume to work. When you column a animadversion the awning just goes bare and tries to accessible /wordpress/wp-comments-post.php. Is there a simple band-aid you can anticipate off. There’s some added humans on SmashingMag who accept the aforementioned problem

I have a question about GPL licence on this wonderful Wordpress theme. If I convert this Wordpress theme to Blogger template, and applied a new GPL licence for the modified version, can I charge a fee to distribute the Blogger template with the source code?

I’m also experiencing the comments problem (with WP 2.7 RC1). If I drop in the comments.php from another theme, however, then posting comments seems to work.
Info: the theme has been released under GPL, so you can modify it, but you have to release the modified version under GPL, too.

For me, it’s a must to keep the footer credit intact and mention author in both XML file and template setup page.

Great theme. Like it a lot. One thing though…comments don’t seem to work. When you post a comment the screen just goes blank and tries to open /wordpress/wp-comments-post.php. Is there a simple solution you can think off. There’s some other people on SmashingMag who have the same problem.

This is a nice theme! I make a lot of sites and will probably be using this one soon. We are just now starting to *not* support IE6 as well…it caught my eye that you aren’t even trying!
The development time to tweak and massage a site for IE6 is just toooo much…
